Buy E Cigs As Tobacco Alternatives

The electronic cigarette is a pretty remarkable gadget.  It allows you to smoke without smoking!   By using this kind of device you can avoid all kinds of potential health risks associated with smoking tobacco.  There is no tar, tobacco, flame, or even the countless oddly-named chemicals that come with your traditional smokes.  If you’re looking for tobacco alternatives you might want to buy e cigs.  So, how does the electronic cigarette work?

Well, first of all…its electric.  And it gets its power from a lithium ion battery.  Some of them are rechargeable too. There is a cartridge which serves as a reservoir for the liquid nicotine solution. These cartridges come in varying strengths as well as different flavors.  So, in addition to getting normal and menthol you can purchase vanilla and blueberry flavors.  The strengths have to do with the amount of nicotine in the solution. This liquid is made up of nicotine, water, and propylene glycol which you’ll sometimes see in cosmetics, medicine, and food.  In the case of the ecig, it helps create the vapor that simulates smoke.

To also simulate the experience, there is an LED light at the “burning” end of the cig.  Now, it doesn’t actually burn of course.  But when you take a drag the battery comes on and gives power to the LED light which looks like the ember of a tobacco cig.  Basically, this lets you know if the device is on or off. The cartrdges last a long time.  In fact 1 cartridge can last you as long as a pack and a half of your old cigs!  But when you need more, simply order some more cartridges.

When you smoke an ecig its called “vaping.”  The experience of vaping is really similar to smoking.  You get a throat hit and drag. You inhale and blow out just like you’ve always done.  Except its all water vapor.  So, you don’t get the bad odor or taste.  And the folks around don’t mind.  There’s not smoke so there is no second hand smoke either! The vapor is produced by the atomizer heating up the liquid in the cartridge.  The battery gives it power and that power heats up the liquid using a series of coils which turns it into vapor. Its just enough heat to make the water vapor but not enough to heat up the actual device.  So, no worries there! When its not in use it turns off.  Think of all the times you’ve take a drag or 2 only to throw the rest away.  Not anymore.  Puff as many times as you want and then put it away.  You’ll never need an ashtray again. Or you may want to take a few drags of your regular nicotine flavored cartridge and then finish it off with vanilla flavored drag or two.  Its really simple.  All you gotta do is unscrew the cartridge from the battery and replace it with the flavored cartidge and you’re good to go.

Can you get an ecig without nicotine? Yep!  You can choose between varying levels of nicotine from regular strength to nicotine free cigs.  Some people prefer to control their nicotine level and vary it.  Its easy with the ecig.  Simply choose that strength when you order cartridges.

Its no wonder so many people are looking for a cigarette substitute.  Especially with all the health concerns and public bans.  If you want tobacco alternatives without the smoke you should buy ecigs.  Get yourself a starter kit here and start vaping!

Terms to Know When You Buy E Cigs

New to vaping? All of the terms and acronyms associated with it could set your head to spinning.  For example: What’s an atomizer?  PG?  Isn’t that a kid’s movie rating?  Well, fear not!  Once you get the hang of it, the language totally makes sense.  So, to help you out we’ve compiled a list of terms and abbreviations that everyone should be familiar with when you’re looking to buy e cigs.
The electronic cigarette itself has as many names as Billy the Kid.  These are a few of the most common ones:

  • Electronic cigarette
  • E-Cig
  • Smokeless Cigarette
  • Personal Vaporizer
  • E-Cigarette

Obviously, you can call them whatever you want.  But at least now you know that a personal vaporizer and e-cigarette are the same thing.
Now that you’re into e-cigs, you’ll notice more and more people talking about them at work, the coffee shop and even on facebook and twitter.  Don’t be out of the loop!  This is a list of terms you’re going to want to know when other vapers are chatting

  • Analog: This is a hip way of referring to the old, traditional tobacco cigarette.  The idea is that we are currently in the digital age.  And, all things analog are history, bygones, or old school.
  • Vapor: When you exhale electronic cigs, it gives off a mist that emulates “smoking” an analog cig.  (Catching on?)  The mist is made of water, propylene glycol, and nicotine.
  • Vape/vaped/vaping: In order to draw a line between tobacco cigs and e-cigs, the term “vaping” was coined as an alternative to “smoking.”  When you vape, you are taking a drag, puffing on, or “smoking” an electronic cigarette.
  • Pull: Taking a drag.  This is the literal act of sucking in on the filter that draws the vapor into your mouth
  • Throat Hit, abbreviated as TH: This is probably not as unfamiliar as some of the other terms.  It means the same thing as the throat hit of a tobacco cig except with vapor.  Its the sensation you get when the vapor hits the back of your throat
  • PV: Just an abbreviation for personal vaporizer.
  • Propylene Glycol, also abbreviated as PG: This is the part of the nicotine solution that provides the throat hit and makes it so that the nicotine can be vaporized.
  • Cartridge, or cart for short: This is the part of the e-cig that holds the flavor, nicotine, atomizer, and PG.  Now you can get flavored cartridges like traditional, vanilla, blueberry, and menthol. Click here to check them out.
  • Atomizer, sometimes called atty: This is the part that makes vapor from the water, propylene glycol and nicotine.
  • 2-Piece: Not a swimsuit, but its the same idea.  This is a two piece electronic cigarette.   In this case, the atomizer is stored as a single unit inside the cartridge so you get a fresh atomizer in every cartridge.

Now you can consider yourself “in the know.”  You can confidently use all of the terms and abbreviations you’ll need to talk about or buy e cigs.  Have any other terms you need clarified?  Leave a comment below and we’ll get back to you.
